Born and raised in Florence, SC, Chad grew up in a Christian home with two younger brothers. God called him to preach at a youth camp, and while he initially agreed, he ran from that call for a time. At 24 years old, he moved to Dillon County and started a business, which he operated for 14 years. At age 38, God reminded him of the call He had placed on his life. Chad surrendered, sold his business, and attended Fruitland Baptist Bible College. After graduating, he continued his studies at Canadian Baptist Bible College and Seminary.

Chad met his lovely wife, Cheri Lynn, and they spent the next 15 years living in Alberta and Saskatchewan, Canada. He pastored there for seven and a half years before moving back to South Carolina. Chad and Cheri Lynn have one son, Hunter, who is currently in Canada pursuing his electrician’s degree.
